Quilting Up & Out

Backing For Savvy's Quilt

Starting up with quilting & sewing again.  It makes me feel so good.  Meditative.  And while I sew I think about who I am sewing for, so many things about them.  I sew love, I sew our memories, and I sew our future...
I started a quilt for my niece, Savannah (Savvy), for her birthday 1.5 years ago!  In that time, I moved three times.  Yes, I now hate moving.  Plus I was in school completing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), while working full time as a registered nurse.  So, though there was much delay, the quilt came to completion this summer and Savvy received it a couple of weeks ago now.
Phew!  That was too, too, too long.
What I learned:  Pick projects that are thrilling, and commit your time carefully.  Pick projects to my skill-level and possibly a little more advanced...
