Finishes on Friday!!

Finished a couple more fine sewing projects!  Why?  Cuz it's Friday.  And Friday is for finishes, eh??
Business Card Holder

Now, this I made real quick this morning-  So, it's a start & a finish!!  From a tutorial over at Material Girl Quilts.  Love this blog-tutorial's make the project a breeeeeeezzze...

So, these two!  Rooney is the black & tan and Giggs is the cream colored Havanese.  Love them, but they don't make it easy to sew sometimes.  The first photo is the back of the quilt.  In the middle two, I am trying to square up the quilt and rotary cut it, but Rooney kept making himself comfy on the quilt.  Oh, Rooney...  Stop the madness.

I am in the midst of "almost" finishing the above quilt the pups keep camping on.  In applying the binding and going through the thickness of a corner a few times, I think I may have displaced the needle head piece a bit.  Because the needle hit the needle plate and broke off the needle head that shot into my chin.  How rude!

But, I got back to it.  Just turning my Juki off, then back on, setting in a new needle, and sewing onward fixed everything.  Yay for an easy fix!!  Binding applied & done.
The Aneela Hoey Little Apples fabric made up following the Aneela Hoey's Blocky Munki Quilt Tutorial.  I added on several borders.

It shall be a gift for a friend.

  1. Oh I have a charm pack of Little Apples and looked at it just yesterday wondering what I might be able to do with it so the tree squares don't get cut up - you may have just inspired me, thanks!!

    1. Inspired? Moi? How lovely...
This was so fun to make. All that white is calming. When you do make something, come back and let me see.

    1. Nini, thank you. What is it about diagonals? Off skew a bit, a different sort of straight line? I'm going to be making a quilt for my son with many diagonals involved... I appreciate the fabric making you are doing over on your blog. Very cool!
